The IQ Mini-S is an ultra compact contact sensor that securely connects and encrypts signals to the IQ Panel 2 while also providing backwards compatibility for legacy 319.5 systems. The IQ Mini-S is easy to install on anything that opens and closes. This device can provide intelligent notifications that can be custom named, and can support smart home automation rules. Rules like, “when door opens, turn on light” or “when door is left open for more than 3 minutes, adjust thermostat to save energy.” The IQ Mini-S boasts up to 8 years of battery life, uses an innovative board and antenna design to extend range and allow mounting on a variety of surfaces, and includes a rare earth magnet for flexible mounting options in a variety of situations.
