Sylvan Security - a division of Sylvan Special Systems, Inc. - was started in response to the increasing demand from our customers for a local company to provide a high quality security product. Sylvan Security's personnel offer decades of professional security and life safety experience. We are located in Lake Charles and Sulphur, LA, and operate primarily in the Southwest region of the state; however, we also provide service across the entire state of Louisiana.
Sylvan Special Systems, Inc. originally started as Sylvan Sound, which was founded in 1946 by Mr. Sylvan Phenice. At the time, Sylvan Sound provided hand-built radios and sound systems for the general public and commercial entities. Some of these original intercoms and radios can still be found operational.
